got the boxer frame back tonight, over to barse's to meet up with gordie, damon, chris w. and mark, barse is busy cutting some profiles out of some fifty year old sheet steel sourced from his triumph herald hot-rod project, [waste-not, want-not], the lad's are fabbing up a set of tank's for the shovelhead project, using an ancient sandbag and hand beating and forming the shape by hand, awesome, chris w has done a sterling job wielding the tig to weld our brackets onto the frame and subframe, this mean's the boxer racer lurches forward again, as i drive home  i think about all the skilled and unskilled people building bike's all around our isle's, not everyone having the access to machine tool's but beavering away with hand-tools, working away after a day's collar or struggling to build their dream bike on the dole, classic/racer/retro/chop/streetfighter/cafe racer/track-day/flatracker, cold, damp and poorly lit garden shed's, garages, under the arches lock-up's, spare bedrooms, front room's, kitchens and even out in the street, working by the light of the streetlamps or by torchlight working through their dinner break's or cadging an hour on a night-shift to realise that dream, the dream of riding that bike in the spring keeping you focused, big-up respect britain, keep on keeping on......
