'meeting joe strummer', derby assembly rooms, april, 13th and 14th, i'll be there, it's easy to dismiss the clash as being 'journo-manufactured-punk- for-the-masses', if you think that then you weren't down the front, covered in gob at the kings hall derby during the 'give 'em enough rope tour', i was, the clash were always a peoples band, even after they split i went to see mick jones's big audio dynamite at the town and country club in north london, midweek gig, up early, work, down to laahndahn', gig, back very early hours of the morning, bed for two minutes and work, shift done, back on the train to see jesus and mary chain at leicester de-montford hall, back on the train, early hours, can't afford a taxi, walk home, bed for four minutes, get up go to work, 'stay free'.

top engine mount, 10mm thick crp 8601 aluminium, best for strength and very lightweight, couldn't believe my luck when i stumbled across a piece at bakers the non-ferrous scrappies in derby, dropped it on the scales and paid 'weigh in' money for it, a piece of this 300x300x10mm thick will cost you £55, from a stockholder, i got roughly the same for 90 pence, a cut finger and twenty minutes rooting about in the shit during my dinner hour, bargain, the ball milled grooves are just for looks, i made fillet pieces to box in the frame mounting, [top of picture], this is now a recommended safety mod, the mountings crack and there is nothing to stop the engine pivoting forward and biting the road........

top engine mount, stainless spacer bush, normal 8mm nuts will be replaced with aircraft nylocs and possibly drilled and lock-wired for belt and braces security.
