sunday see's a session in the shed, slurping tea, sucking teeth, shouting, smoothing and setting -up the 'set's, sorting set screws, [bloody hell my old english teacher would be turning in her grave, 'loveless, i never thought you would have got the hang of alliteration , the repetition of a particular sound in the first syllables of a series of word's or phrases, well done, now stop picking your nose and wiping it on the desk you horrible child' the 'peg's are spares that we made for the mz racer, why re-invent the wheel, they are light, easy to make and cheap, the black nylon 'crash' bobbin's are off the shelf items from racing lines in derby, fifty pence a throw, not the finished item yet, but we are getting there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the interweb, brilliant, i can't imagine life without it now, back in the day i used to buy 'black echoes' a weekly newspaper that dealt with, believe it or not, soul, reggae and all other forms of black music, i used to pick up the 'nme' and occasionally 'sounds' too depending who was on the cover, so 'black echoes' and the monthly 'blues and soul' glossy magazine were my points of reference, nowaday's you just google it and you have a whole universe of information at your fingertips, i never knew that the 'okeh' label was founded in 1918 and was the first label to record a black blues artist but i did know that okeh were chicago's answer to the detroit's motor city 'motown' label, tonights slab of vinyl is the full-on, fast northern stomper by the triumph's, 'i'm coming to your rescue' excuse me, i need to dance now.......
