got a piece of close-cell neoprene rubber for a seat pad, cut out a cardboard pattern for the basic shape and traced it onto the neoprene, cut out with a modelling knife and this is about halfay through shaping up with some fine wet and dry, that's the good thing about neoprene, you can sand it to a decent finish, i tried to drill through it for the mounting holes but it's just too soft so i just cut around them, you can get an off-cut from a gasket manufacturer for a couple of quid, it's close-cell construction won't soak up water and it's relatively hard wearing so you don't have to muck about making a seat cover.

how do you wind up a brace of jack russell terriers?, first you take the blankets off their dog bed complete with ikea toy rats and throw them in the washing machine, they then spend twenty minutes barking at the contents of the machine going round and round, when the washing cycle is finished peg the blankets and rats on the line and sit back and watch them jumping up 4ft to try and snatch them back.

the green backgound is to show that the bike is a 250, i cut it 30mm short so you can see the carbon mounting plate, i reckon it looks well cheeky.

mounted the front number board today, checked out the acu regs and decided to go for the maximum allowed, doesn't look particularly nice but i need all the slipstreaming effect i can get, chopped out a piece of carbon-fibre for the plate and mounted it high up level with the top of the fork legs, should offer some aerodynamic advantage against the smaller plates.

decided that the tank needed something to break up the great paint job applied by mad john so paid my mate roy a visit in the week, i go to football with roy every other week, he sits behind me and jack at pride park, got a scan of the old mz decal off the interweb, roy scanned it and sharpened it up, added the 'loveless engineering' old english font, [after altering the 'v', in old english font the 'v' looks like a 'b', i really don't want 'lobeless' on the tank that's for sure], dropped his memory stick, stuck it in twenty grands worth of roland printer and made these fucking mint decals, he slagged my attempt off at putting my #51 numbers on the seat unit and peeled them off and re-made them on said machine, unfortunatley he had consumed around five bottles of stella and i ended up peeling them off and cutting out my own numbers and backgrounds, roy, mate, love the loveless..........

dangerous is away for a week in northumberland playing motor-caravans so i'm soldiering on, need a bracket to support the tacho and my front number board, lump of inch square section, drilled and tapped 6mm, not got the tacho yet, dangerous phoned burwins and they reccommend krober, i like the scitsu model but i've heard that they are not as reliable as the krober item, i could get a digital one for half the price but i prefer analogue display, i find it easier to read,

and a length of half-inch roundstock for the bottom mount, drilled and tapped six-mill.
