great to see michael dunlop get a win in the second supersport race after a disappointing week of three d.n.f's and two engine blow ups, he led on the still wet roads after a three hour delay to take his first tt victory.............

ian mackman on the norton, yeah, i know, it's an aprillia v4 engine but i'd love it if he could get a place in friday's senior, good luck to macker's and the norton team, a real 'under-dog' story..........

a great day's racing at monday's tt, i tuned into manx radio, [streaming it through my computer] half an hour before the start to find that the day's programme had been delayed by a couple of hours due to a fatal accident involving a visiting biker at greeba, i whiled away the next couple of hour's weeding in the garden, the dog's helping me, catching frog's and despatching them and leaving little amphibian bodies all over the 'lawn', [if you have terrier's you know what a 'lawn' is, clump's of moss and weed's with yellow pee-stains and areas of excavation deep enough to hide a double decker, [and bones, toy's, sock's etc.] i opened the french window and placed my old desktop on a chair as far as the power lead would reach so i could listen to the commentary, the opening race, the supersport's was a blistering affair with one of the closest finishes in tt history, bruce anstey just pipping cam donald by a staggering nought- point- seven- seven- seconds, [yep 0.77 second's] just think about that, that's so close after four laps of a circuit that's 37.73 miles long, the superstock race got under way at around 1830hrs, john mcguiness chalking up his first superstock victory but an amazing tt win number 19, i really didn't think anyone could ever beat joey's record but with mcguiness i really wouldn't like to say now, he was actually rolling it off in the last lap to make sure he didn't run out of fuel.......

 sorry about the low-res photo's, but, as you can see, we've been round the block a few times, we didn't discover bee-emm-dubya's two week's ago, we didn't jump on the 'chopper' bandwagon when we saw it on the telly, we are the real deal, mad, bad and dangerous to know, so, 'trendster's' you can just fuck off and die motherfucker's! we got the mojo and you ain't, we've been riding, building and abusing motorcycles before you passed your direct access when you found out it was the next-big-thing in 'gq' magazine or whatever trendy blog you 'follow', follow? i'd rather poke myself in the eye with a screwdriver..................................................................................................

what the flipping flip? went to bed and it was june, woke up this morning and it's november, three week's to go and the night's start to draw in again, summer solstice will be here and gone in the blink of an eye, where does the time go? after a lazy day walking dog's in the rain and cold, watching moto gp, drinking tea, updating my hacked i-tunes, drinking tea, squabbling with dangerous, lock-wiring the drain plugs on the boxer racer project, [there's two on the shaft. one on the fill-level plug, one on the fill plug and one on the engine sump], theres only one thing to do, drink red wine, play some boards of canada c.d's, look at the rain and wait to get the tt sidecar highlight's on the telly when mr's b's finished watching 'the apprentice' final, [ok, that's four thing's]..........

i'm fifty-three this coming birthday and you know what? you would have thought i would have sussed it out by now, but no, my beautiful venhill throttle assembly turns out to be, well, let's put it like this, 'dissapointing' just cant get the throttle feeling 'right' i spend most of the day dicking about adjusting the cables, taking up the slack on the adjustment, slackening it off and trying again, it's just not right, the cable is not running right and giving me that 'feel' that i need at the 'bar, it's snagging and the cable is jumping off the bobbin, in desperation i fit a cheapo, domino commando plastic throttle assembly that i had as a spare, rip open the plastic packaging, position it on the clip-on, adjust it up and? perfect, my venhill all singing all dancing item cost four times the amount, the domino? cheap as chips at twelve quid, feel's right, like public enemy said, 'don't believe the hype......'
