garden

had a pleasant few hours pottering in the garden this morning, after our disappointing summer this year, the last few days of sunshine has really brought out the blooms, reminds me of one of my ol ma's favourite poems, dorothy frances gurney's often misquoted 'closer to god in a garden, than anywhere else on earth', [it should be 'closer to god's heart in a garden' but, whatever, you get the point] not sure about that myself but it's a nice sentiment....

  1. Lovely stuff Lovey, for a big, bald, be-tatted Derbyshire lad you are well and truly in touch with your sensitive side . . . with you 110% on that one mate . . . stopping to smell the roses, nice.
