0930 hours soon arrives, start the bike and make my way down to the assembly point, some very nice machinery in the holding area, greeves silverstones, aermacchi's, ducati's air-cooled yamaha td2's, tz 125's, enfield gp5's a velo big mac and loads of honda bloody replica's, it's 0945 hrs and i'm already overheating in my leather's , how much longer will they hold us?, at last the green flag drop's and we make our way onto the track for a sighting lap behind the travelling marshall's, there's supposed to be no overtaking on the sighting lap but there's a lot of jockeying for position, round the never ending right hander, gerrad's, along the short straight and into the right/left lake esses, short uphill climb before hard on the brakes for the right handed shaw's hairpin, back over to the right hand side of the track before peeling off into the off-camber devil's elbow, steeper than you think and back onto the start and finish straight, the marshall waves us through and here we go.....
