peaky blinder update. building bikes in a shed, keeping it real....no t-shirts, no stickers, no hats, [beanies as worn by guy martin or snap-back peaks] no wax cotton tool rolls, no aluminium coat hangers, no hipster bollocks, no kissing arse, no product placement in trendy shops, just straight up, honest, no corporate, no fuck's given exchange of views, free of charge, no agendas, no politics and no censorship.......

DeleteTim, how much did you take off the forks? Mine look about like yours did before you turned them. Also, what chem are you using on those fork ends? Your work looks great!
ReplyDeletehi chris, good to hear from you, hope you are well, i took a couple of thou off the forks, didn't touch the area where they fit the yokes, [triple tree's], used some 400 grit paper, [wet, plenty of soap], used it until it wore out and then a quick polish with 1200 grit paper, finished it off with 'solvol autosol' metal polish to buff them up, [not sure if 'solvol' is available stateside but i'm sure there are plenty of alternatives]
