i'm loving this photo, it just gets me fired up, the day's are getting longer, january, the most hateful month of the year has gone and spring is hoving into view, [ok, ok, there's a long time to go yet but..] can't wait to get my airhead back from jim's now.......

ReplyDeletethe motors stripped and been examined and apart from some scoring in the oil pump, (not surprising when you consider the amount of crap it was pumping around after my 'friend' filled the motor with shot last media) the gearbox didn't,t fair so well, the big driveshaft bearing was breaking up leaving swarf on the magnetic drain plug, not good and it leaves me with another five hundred quid to find for a 'box rebuild, the cam is on order from Germany and should take about two weeks to arrive which leaves jim plenty of time to do the headwork, when the engines built it's off to the dyno for setting up, estimated time is around the beginning of march, hope so, test day at Mallory park is the twenty first of march.

ReplyDeletenevermind larry, at least you have some signs of life, walking the dogs this morning i noticed a few daffodils starting to grow out of the earth, seen a couple of snowdrops in the woods too, sure sign spring is coming.....
