friday afternoon, me and mr's b have a day's annual leave, deep joy, we are doing the weekly shop, the only redeeming factor is the chance to peruse the music/bike/'men's interest, magazines and the cheapo cd's, here's a beauty, another four quid special, 'moonstompers, shufflers and skankers' a compilation double disc from union square music, yep, same label as last week's rockabilly cd, i read the tracklisting and my heart sank, the first three listings are your usual ska-comp fodder, great tuneage but well over-exposed, read beyond that and there's some great stuff on here......[pictures are from the cd artwork, love the first photo, rudy skanking in his rupert trousers, bloke on the left playing imaginery guitar, album cover looks pretty authentic jamaican, photo three is deffo two-tone era, the pose of the girls is straight off the madness album sleeve, love the girl on the left, braces, white 'shades, pegged trousers, white socks and penny loafers, girl far right, in the photo, not in a political way, just didn't get it i'm afraid, wedgy haircut and what the fuck are her kitten heels all about? anyway, get down to sainsbury's, slip this gem in your trolley or just buy it off amazon, brilliant.......
