after a couple of aborted attempts at rubber mounting the battery carrier using the original mountings, [too feeble, the battery flapping about like zebedee], trying to modify a set of car exhaust bobbins, [plain f'ugly], the idea came to me as i was walking the dog's, i drilled out four kitchen tap washer's to accept the 6mm countersunk screws, knocked up a couple of 20mm spacers to clear the flange on the diff and the job's a good 'un, drilled six lightening holes in the bottom of the battery carrier tray, cut a bit of self adhesive foam to cushion the battery case and added some more lightening holes in the top strap, ok, ok, ok, i know, they won't make any difference but they do look cool...........................

Bloody hell mate !!! Worlds best looking battery tray without a doubt !!!! If that doesn't get you a championship, nothing will !!! Put it into mass production, I'll buy two, turn one into a dunny roll holder and just mount the second on the wall in the living room . . gorgeous stuff.
